old chrysler motor, How do I install a new pull starter cord

Hello,

I have the slightest clue on how to change the pull cord on my old outboard. Its a chrysler 8hp motor. I snapped the original cable last week and almost took a dive in the water.

I looked at the cable from inside the motor and it appears that the spring is still recoiling but havent taken anything apart yet. I was wondering if anybody could help me figure how to replace it. I took pictures of the motor.

Profile?You might be close to someone who can do it for you.
You have to take the assy out and undo the spring and a wrist pin.
A factory manual will tell you how to do it.
