Re: old engine 35hp johnson 1959

I am trying to make a new post with no luck. Could someone help me out with how to post a new thread. I have a similar motor at 1960 gale/ johnsonshipmate it runs fine in the barrale but not in the lake. it seams to shake like its missing then dies. It will start right back up if i let it just run its fine i have tried to adjust the low soeed and high speed and it helps a little but not mutch. I have rebuilt or torn down the lower unit replaced the seals and impeller and it shiftes fine if i could keep it running smooth. Im new to boat motors and am unsure what to try next.

Justin, first of all welcome to the site, second, when you want to post a new thread, do not open an already written/active post, all you can do is reply to them.
Go to the Johnson motor section and at the top left hand side you will see"Create New Post" That is what you click and then fill in the title and then fill in the larger area with your questions. Hope this helps.........Irv964
