I Have An Older Model Mercury Motor That Was Givin To Me Without No Manual... The Serial Number Of The Motor Is 5271459... I Was Wondering Where The Water Comes In To The Motor At So I Can Properly Hook It Up And Make Sure The Water Pump Is Workin Before I Head Out On The River.. And What Year This Motor Is And If I Can Download A Manual For Free Somewhere?

The water intake on the engine is under the cavitation plate and the engine will have to be put in a drum or tank and it's a 1979. I don't know anyplace to download a manual.
