old mongomery ward outboard needs info

First thanks for all the people who help on this forum. I need info on my newly acquired outboard motor model#84gg9014a, like year ,mix ratio, sparkplug.

You have a 1948, 5hp Sea King. Built by the Gale devision of OMC.
16 to 1 fuel to oil ratio. I think the plugs should be Champion J6C,
but I'm not 100% sure.
It's a neat motor, I just picked one up but haven't messed with it yet.
