old oil

I have a motor that was stored for 4 years.(Suzuki 115) I plan on removing the oil tank so I have easier access to clean the oil screen. Tank is half full of oil from 4 years ago. I plan on dumping the oil and refilling with fresh. Is there any special way I should clean the tank before I refill?

Pour in a bit of fresh oil and slosh it around, pour it out. If you need to use any solvents, use gas. Just make sure you're careful (flammable), and get it all out before putting in fresh oil.
