just a question? with the old pressure tanks getting few and far between, why couldn't a guy take a tank and install say a valve stem in it, pressurize it with a portable bicycle pump, hook her up and ready to go.the tank only runs under about 4 pounds of pressure anyway right?

I can find plenty of them at yard, and garage sales! Changing to a fuel pump would be a better solution. And if your going to try to convert a newer tank why not use the dual line (feed from engine) to give it the pressure?

Cant find any by me,And if I do-they are like GOLD! Like I said it was just a question, a brain storm if you will. I would still use a duel line, but correct me if I am wrong-you still need to pressurize the tank to start the motor, and then once the motor starts it keeps the tank pressurized-right?

The button on top pump gas to the carb, but does not pressure the tank. The tank is only pressured by the engine. Any air leak will be a problem. If you want to change to a fuel pump use the search and you'll find all the info you need to do the conversion.
