Trying to identify an old motor that has no ID on it. COLOR Entire motor appears to have been
aluminum. COWL One piece. CARB AJ16A. FLYWHEEL Wico PG476. MAGNETO Wico, Serial 790387, points .020, Spec FW 1737, Condensor Wico K5463.
CYLINDER Casting numbers on opposite sides 463 and 1887. CYLINDER HEAD Circular 4 bolt pattern. VENTED GAS CAP 1 1/8" Black Bakelite. STARTER Pull rope. LOWER UNIT Looks like a 1948 3.6 Firestone 133-9-487 except for prop nut. Firestone is conical, this one has a castle nut.
Motor looks smaller than the Firestone. Any ideas of what it is?
Pics are avail via e-mail if they would help.
ddetrick@carolina.rr.com

Re: Old Scottie?

Sounds like a Champion. Basically a pre-Scott-Atwater. Somebody else posted this on another thread and I saved it to my favorites. Maybe it will help. Or maybe I'm wrong.
http://www.scottatwater.com/

Re: Old Scottie?

I've been told it may be a 1946 Firestone A-10-1 3.5HP Model 461. Would pics help?
