I picked up the boat a couple years ago and am just now getting finished with the rebuild. I removed all the old paint, and wood. Cleaned it primed with self etching primer and now ready for paint. I aslo had to rebuild an old trailer I bought.
Trailer pics from nothing to something, this trailer redo cost more than the boat. Started with just a frame, boat an axle and tires, by the way found out the axle was to big to fit into the leaf spring holes so I had to have some attachments welded. I had to get a longer tongue welded now I need to get my trailer lights done.
Ok the fun part. I rattle canned the boat with rustoleum gray and blue after priming. I had to replace my bow eye and because I could not find one with a single eye I had to drill an extra hole. I filled the holes and edges with 5200.
Im having a hard time posting pictures because it says they are invalid files. Its the same file for the pics I already posted. What's the problem.
Anyway now I need to replace the benches and add foam as you can see the boat in just a shell. I have maple for the transom and will probably use pine for the benches. I want to just stain and seal the benches.I would also like to make a small deck from the first bench. If you look at my first post the first bench I removed has a wooden piece in the front. I want to do the same thing on my new bench and cover that opening with plywood for a small deck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
