i have an old johnson motor i believe its 38 hp might be 30 its raining dont feel like going to find out it something like a 1968 my mechanic says it works good i wanna get rid of it how much is this dinosour worth it is faded last owner kept it in the sun

Well, when it quits raining, go outside and find the model number of your outboard. It should be somewhere on the transom mount, in the front. Post that model number here, and someone will identify your outboard for you and provide additional information.

From the information you provided, there's not much we can tell you.
