Older Achillies Inflatable w/ Wood Slats

My husband bought an Achillies Inflatable at a garage sale, and put it in the water outside our house. We used it a couple of times, but the dockmaster wanted to charge us an additional dock fee for the inflatable boat.

There's some small holes in the rubber. But the wood slats are still there, the oars, the seat and the transom are in good condition.

I'm wondering if it's worth trying to sell this boat. I'm not even sure if those small holes are repairable and how to do that.

I think it's 9-10 feet, and probably pre-1995?

If I saw a picture of all the Achillies models throughout the years - I would probably recognize it. Anyone know a link?

It's been costing me too much money sitting in storage for the last year.

If I dragged it out onto the street, I'd probably get fined for dumping.

what to do, what to do?

You're paying to store a 10' inflatable boat? Just roll it up and stick it under your bed.

Yeah, it's repairable. You can order a hypalon repair kit here>> www.nrsweb.com. Instructions on how to make the repairs are also on the site.

No room under the bed. LOL

But rolling it up is something I haven't actually tried.

Maybe the boat is 12 feet - I'm not sure.

And even though it seems to have a slow leak - the last time I saw the boat it still looked relatively inflated.

Truth is, after they wanted to charge us to keep the boat in the water - my husband moved it to the backyard and stuck it in a corner.

I got tired of looking at it one day and drove it to our already owned storage space (with other stuff in it, unfortunately.)

I never actually tried to roll-it-up. Maybe I should. But at this point - I don't see us ever using that boat again - so I want to sell it.

But if I can only sell it for the price of a repair kit - maybe I'll risk the fine.

Depending on it's condition and the floor's condition, a 10+ year old Achillies is still worth good money. Post a pic or two and someone will be able to tell you roughly what it's worth. Depending where you live, Craigslist is a good place to sell.
