Older Evinrude and Johnson 2-Line Pressurized Tank Compatability

I have a 1957 Evinrude 5.5 Fisherman outboard motor, but no gas can or hose/connector for it. I see on eBay that the Johnson Mile Master tank appears very similar to the Evinrude fuel tank, and seem more plentiful. Are they interchangeable? I just want to get my father's old outboard running again. Thanks very much for any and all answer(s).

A pressure tank from a Johnson will work on an Evinrude that also uses


a pressure tank. The couplers are identical
