Re: older type hose attachment

Hi Rolmops..

What does it look like?

I have one here from an old evinrude,, it looks like a circle of tin bend in a U shape with springs at each end and another piece of tin at the other end of the springs that clamps onto the back of the cavitation plate..

Anyway, if thats the one, they sell them new at my local boat place.. about 8 bucks.. have you checked the usual places??

regards

Frank

Yes Frank that's the one. Very easily available down under.
Trying to get one in upstate NY is a bit more of a problem.Mine went bad last summer and I've been using a barrel ever since.I am tempted to send for one from Australia. Maybe you have a local website that offers it?
Thanks for your answer.

I could use the same hose adapter, so I'm bumping this back up hoping we both get a reply

rolmops
What you are looking for is a Tempo Flushet.
They are model specific any not a "one fits all", and can cost up to $30 and more for some models. Your local dealer has all the available models in stock or one or two days away by special order. For the antique models, I doubt many dealers stock them but can get them. You will need to know make and model.
Backfire ;)
