as it turns out, my neighbor has a boat with a 4.3l omc and cobra stern drive...how convenient eh? he might be willing to let the boat go for about 2000 bucks, and i'm going to swap the engines and outdrives and see what happens. i believe these 1950 bayliner capris should've came with a v6...no less than that. i think i'll still get the trim tabs though. i hate listing to the right when it's just me in the boat.
