omc 3.0 140hp motor help

just pulled motor because the oil pan has a crack on it. someone before me that own boat must of has motor out and sat it down on something and pushed oil pan in on bottom. well, it finally cracked and was leaking oil. oil pan is aluminum. looked for new oil pan but they dont make anymore. if i have my old oil pan welded, will that be ok??? i really dont have much choice right now. cant seem to find used or new oil pan anywhere. 1986 starcraft 3.0 cobra 140hp 4 cyl. does anyone know were i can find a used or new oil pan for my boat?

take it to a welder. they will tell you if it can be fixed reliably

oil pan is aluminum.

I've seen a lot of OMC 3.0's - never seen an aluminum pan on one. might want to check with a magnet
86 OMC 3.0 came with a steel pan originally

yes you are right.. this is a metal pan. i just got done welding it and put the motor back in boat. just have to hook everything up and put oil in it. thanks
