OMC 3.0 buzzing noise

I am looking at buying an 86 Larson with the OMC 3.0. The previus owner let me take it out on the lake and run it...<br />The motor runs as I would expect, but it made a noise I am not familiar with.<br />It sounded like a buzzing or whinding noise.<br />There was no knocking at low RPM. Is this normal for this motor? Or should I avoid this one?
