My 91 VIP with a 350 cobra has been having some issues. From a complete stop I’ll put it in gear and give it throttle and it barely puts along and I’m also having problems with it starting without reving it in nuetral. I’ve changed fuel water separator, fuel pump, and adjusted the fuel idle screws on the Holley carb, just not sure where to go from here.

Was there any water in the filter? Did you dump some dry gas in it? Did you check the filter in the carb inlet line? Is it running rough and putting out black smoke? Did you check your distributor cap?

Sorry for for all the questions but your problem can be a lot of different yet simple things. Once you cover the basics, then we may have to go a little deeper into fuel and ignition systems.

Mu guess is the carb needs to be gone thru. Idle circuits and accelerator pump circuits are first to get plugged.

Spend the $35 on a trick kit (complete rebuild kit) and about $20 on a bucket of berrymans and a can of spray cleaner
