OMC 4.3 feul delivery problem

I have an OMC 4.3 w/ a 2 bbl rochester and it is running rich. There is gas pouring in through the overflow tube. It is blowing heavy black smoke. I am assuming the feul pump has gone bad, or could it be a restriction?

Just sold the 4.3 OMC I had...fuel pump is bad. I had the same issue.
