Omc 4.3L 262 omc king cobra transom leakage

Went to put the boat in the water in first time in years and before it was off the trailer it was taking in tons of water through the transom underneath the water tube. So what could the problem be, in the transom itself or in the water tube and how would I go about fixing it?

Take a phillips screw driver and try to poke a hole inside the transom, push hard. If you can the transom is soft and needs replaced.

If transom is sold, remove the hose and see if its a bad seal or something is cracked. Maybe it froze one winter
