I curently run a E-rude tiller 25 on a 16' aerocraft. The Boat is normally used for duck hunting or great lakes saloman fishing, in either case it is always heavily loaded. I've determined through, tune up's, prop pitch adjustments, and motor heigth adjustments the 25 is simply not enough.<br /><br />I plan to re-power the boat with a 40 tiller, prefferably OMC in the 1990's vintage. <br /><br />Are there any model years or versions that are known to be "bad" "undependable" or "cronically FUBAR'd"?<br /><br />Inversely ,OMC guys, Are there model #'s that are known to be "iron clad", "dependable as gravity" or just plane old "good"?
