Need some help!

I was having issues with the boat not planing off, replaced all parts with the tune-up kit and adjusted point dwell as well as timing. Also, replaced both carbs with rebuilt Rochester quadrajets.

Problem now is that when going to full throttle the starboard side engine will bog down only when you hear the secondaries open and it seems like the choke closes all the way. This is a manifold choke- The other engine however wants to keep pulling and obviously cannot so it stays at the same RPM. My brother held the choke open a little bit though and it picked up speed and planned. Where does the issue lie? Could this be a problem with the choke assembly on the intake manifold itself? The little rod that comes up from the manifold to connect to the carb feels like it's loose and not even doing anything... What should it do?

Thanks!

Re: OMC 5.0 Choke Question

Bump! Anyone? I ordered a new OMC Choke Stack and cover last night for the manifold... Not sure if that's what it is but I am thinking so.
