omc 800 stringer prop question

Hi, I am a new member here. I was wondering if anyone knew what prop was o/e on a 1986 omc 4.3 800 series stern drive? I just bought a 1986 seaswirl and it seems to run good but the tach indicates it only turns at 3200 rpm's and the speedo say's it goes 32mph. It has a 14 1/2: 19 prop and it will run side by side with my buddy's bayliner which has a 90 horse outboard. He said his is turning 5500 rpm and going 39 mph. I know the speedo's can be inaccurate but I am wondering if my tach and speedo are both off or if the boat has been overpropped and wont peak to wot. Thanks

There's no such thing as a "standard equipment" or "OEM" prop. Props are typically selected by the dealer or the customer right before delivery.

Ok thanks I have never had a new boat. I just need to make sure the linkage opens the throttle plates all the way and check the rpm's with my timing light. I am just trying to see if my insterments are giving me false readings or if my engine is not turning fast enough.
