$227 for the rebuilt one. What makes you think he'll want to rebuild it? problems? <br />I called a carburetor shop for mine, they only wanted $125 to rebuild a quadrajet.

well i thought he said a couple of hundred and they charge 89 an hour. one of the problems it could be some one suggested was the carb. because it boggs and dies, sometimes goes sometimes doesn't, i am just preparing for what the mechanic says. it does look sort of black in the carb also.<br /><br />other thread i read that described same problem suggested accel. pump

CCP1:<br />check to see if you have a black plastic float in it .If it is change it to a brass one.<br />Plastic floats will get salurated with gas and cause<br />flooding and all sorts of problems.<br />Ask your mechanic.<br />GOOD LUCK<br />BEEF
