Wife had boat out last summer turned it off to swim with kids. Got back in boat tried to start it and apparently somehow melted the positive wires at the battery. I fixed wires, replaced the starter relay. I now have no power to ignition or cluster. Anyone know why there is no power to ignition? Checked all fuses an other wires to make sure there were no other shorts. Could it be a coil or starter that needs replaced? Still don't explain why I have no power to ignition. However, the horn works. I also have a wife for sale!!!

There should be a fuse on the engine that supplies power to the ignition. What year is your engine?

Don S.,
It is a 1993. The only fuse I found was the one that came right off the battery. Is there another closer to the engine?
Thanks for your help!

There should be 2 circuit breakers on the engine somewhere. See if they need reset. You may also have to check the breaker to make sure it hasn't failed.
I am also wondering why your cables burned up. Suggest you pull the spark plugs and check for water in cylinders. It may be she held the starter engaged while the engine was hydro locked, that would sure melt the cables.
