I have had trouble with my 95 OMC Cobra 4.3L eating alternator belts. I found that the water pump pulley was partially rusted out with a hole in it. I ordered the new water pump pulley on line (3852220) and the pulley came. The problem is it is 1/2 the size of the old pulley and a different shaft size. When I looked at the old one it appears that the previous owner perhaps put on an automotive circulation pump and changed out the pulley. I say this because the hole in the pulley is oblong like someone cut this out manually. I am about 99% sure I got the right part for that engine. It is a 95 OMC 4.3L circulation pump pulley. The pump is not leaking and does not appear to need changing. Any advice?
