omc cobra 5.8 model number

Hey guys,
I acquired a boat with an omc cobra 5.8 stern drive. I was wondering if anyone knows where omc "hid" the model number on the ford engines. I would like to get the factory manuals and without knowing exactly what year and model its proving a little difficult. Dont know if it helps but I found the model number and serial number of the drive and the transom assy:
transom model # 987090, serial #T00314178
drive model # 987126, serial #T0752764
Any info will be greatly appreciated!

look on the inside ( carb side) of the port valve cover.

1975 stamas hardtop. One of the previous owners removed the original volvo setup and replaced it with the omc. I got the boat after two owner changes and none of the manuals were passed along.
