omc cobra 5.8L year 1989 fuel type

I need to veryfiy some information i have got from some helpful persons on other foriums. I have an OMC cobra 5.8L year 1989 and used to give it leaded fuel but now i have to give it unleaded fuel beacuse my country does not import this fuel any mote. Shall i use any lead replacment or shal i change straight to unleaded fuel?

Not sure that a 89 should have ever used leaded fuel most motors went to unleaded in the 70s
correct me if Im wrong.
I think your fine with unleaded

unleaded should be better then that leaded stuff hint to the 70's comment above my booklet says my boat needs like grade 89 gas which is midgrade so thats what i run not sure if that makes any differnce some people say mid and premium have more power but its all gas yes?

Ayuh,.... Yer motor is nearly 20 Years too old to worry about leaded fuel....

No lead started in the late 60s, early 70s....

Ok thanks everyone for you advice. I will try to use leaded fuel and see what will happen.
