I've seen numious posts for the Merc Bellows/gimbal replacement as far as the procedure and tools needed but not to much for the Cobra.

Is the procedure much different and what tools are going to be needed.

I've not attempted this as of yet and need some guidance.

Thanks in advance

Re: OMC Cobra Bellows/Gimbal replacement

Its actually easier on a Cobra than a Merc, you will need a 1/2in drive 1/2 Allen driver to remove the hinge pins, the bellows on the drive end is retained merely by a cast in lip on the bellhousing, and a hose clamp on the forward end. Pop the bellows off the lip, remove hinge pins, loosen hose clamp and off it comes. The gimbal bearing replacement is virtually the same as a Merc, as the actual bearing is, in fact, the same.
