I just got a new/old boat,
GW INvader Bravo 1992
with OMC 5.0 and cobra drive.
out drive model is 987124.
what is maximum tilt angle?
for trailering, it appears that it is not going fully up -
piston rod about 5 " out and skeg is about level with ground
there is only 1 tilt switch on board, on throttle handle, no trailer tilt switch.
I checked fluid level, fine, motor runs and then slows and slightly grind/click when hits "bottom". I cant see anything that would be binding it or stopping it. I do not see a limit switch, only the tilt angle gage switch, which only acts to read angle, correct?
So what is stopping drive from fully tilting up???
Are there limiting blocks in tilt cylinders?

There can be limiting blocks... They're usually added when there's an extended swim platform

Hey, thanks contractor
Yes, my boat has a swim type deck in back.
where are these blocks, in the cylinders??

if so, can I remove or reduce them?
-will I trash the cylinders if I take them apart? need a press or anything?

it appears there is plenty of room to spare before the top case hits the deck.
