OMC Cobra trim cylinder Repair/Replacement

Have a 92 Cobra out drive with a trim cylinder port striped out. Can this be Helicoiled or do I need a replacement? If I need a replacement what's a good source?

Ive seen a mercruiser repaired with an adapter fitting.<br /><br />1/8 in pipe male threads x origional size flare fitting female <br /><br />1/8 pipe threads into ram.....then reinstall hose<br /><br />OOOPPS does that have flare or o-ring fitting<br /><br />If o-ring I dont know

hi i got a omc cobra 4.3 litre and there is water going into the engine any suugestions????

Thanks Reel, that fix gives me another option.

I would think a trim cylinder wouldn't be be too hard to find for an OMC cobra, try e'bay.
