I recently purchased an '89 Hydra Sports F/S. It came with an OMC Cobra trolling motor. Its a 12/24 unit. I dont think that its the original unit as the bow of the boat has a 12/24 switch and so does the foot pedal; but maybe it is original.
It works OK most of the time. However, recently, it will just 'stop' working. After fooling around with the foot pedal a little, I noticed that the speed selector wheel seems to be the culprit for the intermittent functioning. After turning it to medium speed and then back to high, it will work OK.
I would like to get some more info on this trolling motor; year, model, power, etc. I have looked at the unit and cannot find any markings to indicate this info. Is there somewhere in particular on the unit I should be looking for the info I'm needing?
