omc controlls 1983 john 115 v4 vro

omc controlls will only give engine small amount of throttle not even 1/4 throttle but shifts in gear fine and the linkage on the engine side needs to retract for lower idle what s going on with that

sounds like bad cable, are you sure it is the controls, and not a problem with the motor. compression check, spark check, misadjusted carb linkage??
