OMC Controls

I have a 1990 140 HP Johnson.<br />I presently have the OMC side mount control and plan to convert to a top mount. I've seen some OMC controls which I believe are for later model engines. I've been told than I can get an adapter harness and use my existing harness.<br />Is this correct?

Yep<br />1996 and later controls you will need this for your 1990 motor. OMC/BRP dealers usuaaly carry this or try www.theoutboardwizard.com<br />Good luck
