I bought a fuel pump for my 78 150 off of ebay, the seller stated it would fit my motor. The pump that I recceived has the same exact body as my old pump but the threaded O-ring male barb discharge fitting is for a small 1/8" hose so I ended up not using it becase all my fuel lines are 5/16". I have since then bought the correct pump with the 5/16" fitting. The only difference I can see in the two pumps is the size of the fitting, Ive been two several different hydraulic shops and parts stores and cant seem to find one. Im guessing that this is a special OMC part. Does anyone know where I can buy just the barbed fitting so I can actually use this pump?

You may have a VRO/OMS pump for a 40HP to 50HP motor (# 435559 or superseding part# 5007421) these had the smaller fitting.

Edit: If you are referring to a conventional lift pump, the fitting is part number 0350971 and the larger one is 0343576, the o-ring is part # 0305739. You can find them at ishopmarine.com if your local guy is too busy.
