Depends on what year & model your engine is.<br /><br />Sometimes they are the same, sometimes not.

Johnson and Evinrude were built by Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC).<br /><br />Except for "Sea Drives" I do not recall any outboards that carried only the OMC name. At least not in the USA.

As DJohns states, OMC was the manufactuer of the Evinrude and Johnson outboard engines. However there were years that some parts varied between the engines. It's best when ordering parts to always, without exception, to list the correct model number of the engine.<br /><br />Ahhh, uhh, your choice of names, screen name, author, whatever you wish to call it. Sort of leaves something to be desired. Are you aware of what it insinuates? (grin)
