Hey guys, I'm having trouble removing the gimbal bearing out of an omc king cobra outdrive. When I pulled the shaft out, the center of the gimbal bearing stayed on the shaft and the bellow had many bearing balls rust and shavings resting in it seeming to me as the bearing has been completely destroyed with just the housing pieces left so now I have no way to use a removal tool or an attachment to a slide hammer because there is no where to grip to beat it out. Any suggestions on how to get this thing out?

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,...... What year King Cobra,..??..??

You might find a 3 jaw puller that can pull the remainin' bits of the bearin',.....
Or,.....
Ya might have to pull the motor, 'n beat the bits out from inside the boat,.....

I'll move this to the OMC I/O forum for ya,.....
