I have a 1990 OMC Cobra. I got a rebuilt upper leg due to the original shattering gears. Im going to take the lower unit a part. To inspect the bearings and gears. Would I need the tool to shim the pinion nut again?If im able to reuse the gears. Or can I just torque it to spec. Since the gears are originals.
