OMC manuals

Asked this is another thread I have going but I don't think anyones noticed it.

Am looking at used OMC manuals on ebay and came across a few. The engine is a 1975 50hp Johnson. The question I have is the manual for the 1975 50hp Evinrude the same? I have found that Johnson only had 2 models that year while Evinrude had 4.

I can pick up an Evinrude manual for about $20.00 less than the Johnson manual.

Well, two of the models are long and short shaft. If I'm not mistaken, Evinrude had a sport version with special paint job available that year. Again, long and short shaft. Same motors, same manuals.

Thanks F_R, just put in an offer on ebay for a very nice looks new Johnson OEM manual. Now lets see what happens. Hopefully a manual will help resolve the ignition problem I have with the engine I just bought.
