OMC model 85798S? What is this?

My Evinrude 85 hp has a model number of 85798S. When I look at the Evinrude application chart it has a 85799, 85793 and 85790. Why is mine not listed?

I just checked in my OMC Model Guide book.... You are correct, it is not listed. I assume you have looked closely and double checked that model number?

What are the rest of the numbers? Letter preceeding the serial number??? I'm thinking along the lines of a foreign-built model (??). Does the tag say where it was built?

OR---is there anything special about it like a jet or something?

85793s

Thanks for everyones response. After some hefty elbow grease I was able to determine that it was indeed an 85793S
