OMC prop on a Mercruiser outdrive?

I just pick up stainless steel 14.5X19 omc prop for a good price and was wondering what I would need to make it work on my alpha 1 gen 1 outdrive. The splines seem to match but the spacing is incorrect. Omc prop #389924

Ayuh,... With the right thrust hub it oughta fit just fine...

Take it to a prop shop and have the splines shortened or re hubbed for Merc. My prop shop can machine the splines without rehub. The OMC spline are to long and thats what keeps prop from installing all the way down...

Ayuh,... Not to step on yer toes, but I believe ya got that exactly Backwards....

A Merc prop won't go onto an OMC propshaft, but OMC props fit Merc propshafts, so long as ya use the right thrust hub...

Yep I reversed it, still tired from Talladega drive....

Ayuh,... The thrust hub that fits the prop, 'n allows installation to the proper depth...

I think I have figured out a solution. I found some washers that were the same diameter as the inside step on my thrust washer. It fits the same depth as my Mercruiser prop now. I havn't tried it on the water yet, but im hoping it will work!
