Re: omc sterndrive model number help

I believe you have what is known as the OMC 400 Stringer Drive.........

Good Luck with it.......

I have a low opinion for the aftermarket manuals.Generally too vague, and misleading.

Try Kencook.com and see if you can get an original OMC repair manual.

Re: omc sterndrive model number help

the factory manuals pop up on eBay sometimes.

If it's a 77, it'll be an electric shift drive.

The Seloc 64-86 manual is actually pretty good. It covers your drive quite well. Used in conjunction with the OEM manual it's excellent.

Here Here with kjdkjd. Just completed my collection of Manuals. The Seloc is the best of the Aftermarket ones I picked up. Factory Repair Manual is a must, followed by a Factory Parts Manual.
