Hi, I'm just a little concerned about the fitment of my thrust washer to the prop, It's a big spline stainless steeel 3 blade prop Turbo brand is what I'm told although it hasn't any markings to verify that (600118 94CSN) this number is engraved on one of the blades, it's 18 pitch 14-1/4 diam.
The original aluminum Michigan Wheel prop thrust has a machined step that fits into the prop hub. The washer seems to work out ok with the SS prop as far as spacing goes, but the recess area of the SS hub is too small for the step to fit into so it just contacts the large flat area of the hub, the prop seems to spin free and true when torqued down but I don't know if it's right that the washer doesn't set into the recess.
Is there a special washer I need with a smaller machined step to fit this prop?
If so how can I go about identifying this prop any special markings Turbo uses? Thanks.
