when I install the new impellor in the housing, which direction should I install the impellors. Does it turn clockwise or counter. Secound, should all of the impellor blades be facing the same direction? I could not tell from the old one because it was pretty ripped up. Thanks Guys

Don't worry about it, once you turn the engine over the vanes will go in the proper direction even if you installed it with them going the wrong direction.

Thats the way I put mine in.I did read to put just a little oil on it when you put it in so it doesn't turn dry the first time.Mine was ripped up pretty bad also.

Yes, coat the housing and the impeller with a little bit of oil. That will make it very easy to install in addition to protecting it for the first spin-up.

Re: OMC water pump question

As you've probably figured out, I don't do OMCs.....

But, If I'm not mistaken, You've got the drive with the pump up on the back of the upper housing...........

If so,
You've got a Standard rotation engine,+ the pump turns the Same as the engine..........
That's Counter-Clockwise from That End......................

I Agree with the points above,
I Slather mine with Vasoline................

Steve, You changed your name................... I Like It..................... ;)
