I have been a member of this group for awhile now and am impressed with the help that is given. Like finding out I can get a new exhaust manifold for $300 cdn vs the $550 I was quoted. Thanks iBoats!!! My girlfriend and me have a 1965 Silverline that we are just finishing. We rebuilt the leg (with help)and redid the interior. New carpeting, seats, side upholstery, and a new doghouse. Not back to orginal, but we like it. (It's now blue and grey instead of brown) We didn't like the brown much. hahaha

"Now the craftily inserted plea for help." I would really appreciate your opinion and feedback on a site I created. I'm not making money
on it (not yet at least) but thought it would be an interesting resource. Please a look and let me know what you think. I'm thinking of offering all testers a chance to win a $25 Home Depot gift card. Maybe that might help get things going and see where the glitches
are. Anyway, back to the boating stuff...

Last things to do is rebuild the carb and tap a few bolt holes that the bolts were broken when I removed the exhaust manifold. Also a small problem with the trailer wiring, should put in a relay for the lowering of the leg, and replace a couple of glitchy gauges. Nothing new?! lol

Also need to install a windshield (if anyone has ideas on that, it would be appreciated) and then a sea trial. That should be a ton of fun. The controls are getting worn too. Ideas?

Thanks again and I look forward to hearing your comments.

Randy

No offence intended Napa. It was just so well written, then you left out the important point of your post.

I did take a look at your web page and found it quite interesting. Havent seen anything like it before. I hope it takes off for you. Looks like a great idea.

As far as the technical help on the boat it should be posted in the correct forum for the best advice possible.

Randy, I have no idea who you are (and no info about you in your profile), and don't need a review of doctors at this time, so I am not going to give you registration info on myself. Guess just too paranoid of identity theft.

Interesting concept, but when dealing with a doctor I would prefer word of mouth recommendations from people I know instead of an interenet website. Just my thoughts.

Re: On and off topic

I did not receive a confirmation email at the addy I correctly provided. I'm now feeling quite glad I put in all bogus information because not getting a confirmation email says "identity theft scam" with a capital S.C.A and M.

Do I still qualify for the Home Depot thing?

In my part of Canada, if you have a doctor....it's a good one.... and you better not **** him/her off with a bad "review" or you'll have none.

My ex was recently telling me about the 3 page letter about her potential new doctor's views on religion, abortion and other topics that she would have to agree to and sign before she would be considered as a patient...

Not making the rounds. Posted on two sites that I found useful and to which I have contributed.

I have had some terrific feedback, which I appreciate. And a huge response! Wow.

Some people have not received a confirmation email. That seems to be happening when emailing to hotmail. But only sometimes. Go figure. I tested it and it works. Grrrrrrr.

Ah well. That has been the only glitch so far - so thanks for all of your help. I seem to have built something that seems to work well. (I have received a lot of email on the site - thanks to "you know who you are". lol)

Now to figure out how to incorporate the ideas I have received to make the site better.

Once again, thanks for all your help, your feedback, and if your ever in Vancouver BC, look me up.

Randy
