I'm planning to get a Guest 10 Amp charger for my 18' bow rider.
The plan was to mount the charger underneath the passenger console (easy access to mount, more room for the charger to breath and eventually put in a thru hull 3 prong plug).

Anyway, if I was to mount it underneath the passenger console, I'd have to run a pretty long leads back to the batteries, about 10' I'd say?. The guest 2 bank charger comes with 4' leads but I'd have to splice in atleast another 6'.

Would I be okay as long as I splice in the same gauge or thicker wire? How will the increased distance affect the charging performance.

Thanks.

They may have an extension kit for their charger. I have a prosport and it has an available extension kit.

I would use the kit if available just to be safe.
