one hot one cool

just installed water pump kit on a 93 -90hp johnson. ran on a hose telltale functioning. when feeling heads one side hot one not. thermostat? motor is newly rebuilt but they didnt touch lower unit hence pump kit. thanks tom

Could be the thermostats. It could also be the water deflectors in the cooling circuit. Check the thermostats first.
