One more Ted Williams Question

OK, I got it running in a trashcan of water.

There is now an oil slick in the can, This cant be nortmal can it?

The motor has not been run for about 23 years as we can figure.

Once you make sure your not flooding out gas and oil I usally change the water and use Johnson engine tuner feed through the carb at about half trottle and try to get the thing cleaned out and rings unstuck, if one of my outboards are running too dirty I would never take it to the lake or river, there dirty little beast any way but they should run fairly clean once properly tuned.
