One quick question

I'm still waiting for my carb rebuild kit to arrive, but one question please: When I squeeze the ball on the fuel line, it gets very firm. If I lay into it and squeeze hard after the ball is solid firm, is it normal for gas to be forced out of the front of the carb and leak out? It does not leak out unless I force more gas in after the ball is firm 100% . I only did this to see if I have any leaks in the gas line anywhere, and gas came out of the carb when I force fed it. Thanks.

I thought that was the case, but I wanted to make sure is all before i rebuild the carb. I rebuilt it last year, however, I used a cheap kit last year from another country, and it was junk! This time i purchased an official Evinrude kit for the carb, so I asked the question so I can make sure to get everything right this time.
