One time virus scans?

Can anyone post links for any online, onetime virus scans of repute?

I have a win32/koobface.gen affliction that gets identified by Microsoft OneCare scan but not removed. I try to run TrendMicro and keep getting the message that 'an error has occured while trying to transfer data from the internet'.

I would try to google a link but this koobface thing is redirecting all my search results. Another virus program may be affected the same as TrendMicro but I won't know until I try them.

I went and tried that Bart but choosing 'safemode with networking' would not let me on the internet at all.

Here's a good one. http://www.eset.eu/online-scanner

If your koobface bug will let you down load it, good removal tool is combofix. You copy it to your desktop and then boot into safe mode to run it.

Thanks TK. I downloaded the ComboFix and ran it in safemode but it did not remedy the situation.

Then I tried the eset scanner and my system would not allow me to download the 'unsigned' ActiveX control.

I guess I am stuck until MS Onecare can remove what it has found.

Go out to spywarewarrior.com, download hijack this - scan and post. The people in the forums over there do for spyware what the people in the repair forums do here. They will walk you though what you need to do in order to clean up your 'puter.

Otherwise, go out to downloads.com or twocows.com and get spybot-sd, adaware, or even AVG (free) - then scan/run those.
