Online boating certification

So I enrolled in the course recommended in the thread stickied here.

I took the course finished it and passed it. now how do I get a certificate? it says there should be ab Icon on "my account" page bottom left below the calendar, but NOTHING. I sent a couple e-mails and no response..

WTH? how can Iboats recommend a course that does not work. other than learning a couple things I felt like I wasted my time.

You have to pay for that certificate through your online account or mail a check or money order with your certification number.
I took that online test and it didn't do much for me either.
My daughter on the other hand can now legally operate, she tested with me.
Her goal was the shiny piece of paper.

I did the same thing, took the online boating safty course. I did it because i thought i could learn something more, just because. I've been boating for almost 20 years and on my 3rd boat just thought it could be benificial. I know that you do have to pay for it to get your "peice of paper" because i just did it with my stepson, and we had to pay to get his. I guess if you don't need the peice of paper, take it as a couple lessons learned. If you do need it, keep trying to contact the online safty course company, and happy and safe boating.

Go to Boat US Foundation. Their training and printed certificate is really free.
It is recognized by quit a few states as an approved safety course. It is approved by the NASBLA and recognized by the USCG. It is also shiny and looks good. Hope this helps.

they have an online course for any state and it is free. after you have passed the state course you go do to print and print the certificate. or pay them 5 bucks and they send one to you.
