online prescription eye glasses

Has anyone had any experience with on-line prescription glasses? I tried a cheap pair from Zenni optical just to test the water about a year ago and they were ok. I just ordered a more expensive pair from them, better frames,1.67 index progressive lenses so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I have a strong prescription and these will save me about 70% over what I can get locally.

Never tried them, in fact, never even knew about them. Depending on the cost, I would be skeptical. I have had local vendors send back lenses that may have been optically correct but were waaaaaaaay too thick. I was able to refuse them on the spot.

Is this for both frames and lenses? I have two pair of 20+ year old Ziess frames. I keep rotating them when I need new lenses. I go to Costco for my lenses and they are progressive bi-focals.

Yes, I am skeptical. Yes this is for both lens & frames. $90 total for progressive 1.67 (thin lenses) anti-scratch and UV coatings and stainless steel frames. I should know in about a week and will post the results. The first pair I ordered ($39)were ok but the lenses scratch easy and were rather thick.

I recently received the glasses and I am well satisfied. Prescription was 100% accurate and frames look and feel great.
